MAUREEN GRIEVES Died peacefully on May 14th aged 81 at Rathmore House, where she was lovingly cared for. Maureen was an elegant woman with an imposing stature. She had an encyclopaedic memory for things archaeological or scientific, coupled with a passion for books, music, ceramics and modern art and design, of which she had a considerable collection. A Scientific Civil Servant, she worked at the British Library for 24 years and was a driving force behind the introduction of information technology. Although dementia overtook her final years she will be remembered as loyal, upright and community-minded by her friends, as a very generous and caring cousin, aunt and great-aunt by her family, and as a memorable party-giver by all!
