Are you passionate about equality and diversity? Do you want to make a positive difference to the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people living in Camden and Islington? forum+ could be the service for you to join and volunteer with!
Our wonderful team of volunteers are integral to us delivering our services.
As well as making friends and learning new skills, volunteers bring their experience, enthusiasm and knowledge to forum+.
forum+ volunteers give their time on a regular basis, volunteer at a one-off event, or help us deliver our variety of outreach and social support groups online and in-person across our local area.
Right now is an especially exciting time to join with forum+ as we celebrate Camden & Islington LGBT History Month. From February 1 to 29, enjoy and support a broad range of events including craft workshops, discussions, exhibitions, poetry, plays, performances, commemorations of local LGBTQ figures, talks and much more!
forum+ works across both Camden and Islington, two boroughs with a long history and commitment to LGBT inclusion. We are very lucky to work in a locality with such a thriving and dedicated voluntary and community sector which, over many years, has helped make a difference to so many peoples’ lives.
Our commitment to the community is to celebrate the achievements, lived experiences and culture of local LGBT people, to collate and share evidence to ensure that LGBT people and our needs are highlighted, and to support victims of LGBT hate crime.
We wish to work with and collaborate with everyone in our community to build a safer, more supportive and cohesive society.
We’re proud of the work we do at forum+ and of our collaborative, friendly and positive volunteering environment.
If you wish to join us in our mission to inspire, empower and enrich the lives of LGBT people living in Camden and Islington please email volunteer@forumplus.org.uk
